I have had a Breville YouBrew for a couple of years, and it's flaking out on me. Before that I had a Capresso for several years, before it failed. As you can guess, I do like the all-in-one grind and brew, and am happy enough with the taste of the coffee. So now I need to replace the Breville, and it seems that there is really no love anywhere for these all-in-one machines.
One reason I haven't wanted a separate grinder is that I'm only familiar with the little ones (I have one that I use for spices) and it's a pain in the butt and is rather messy. I don't want to deal with this every morning. But I imagine if I pay more (I'm willing to) I can get a grinder that I can walk away from and that will put enough grinds into a container for 4 or 5 cups of coffee that I can easily pour into a drip coffee maker (or french press, if someone wants to convince me of that). Normally I'm the only one drinking coffee, and I have two big mugs per morning (that 4 or 5 mentioned above is that fictional size of a coffee cup that most machines label). I'm willing to spend money on this solution, but am not a super coffee-geek, so I don't need to impress anyone if you know what I mean.
