Persimmon in Bristol, RI

I haven't heard much on this board of late regarding Persimmon in Bristol and just wanted to share a recent experience there. This place is just stellar and ranks with Chez Pascal for RI's absolute best, in my opinion. Started with a shared tapas-sized plate of house made gnocchi with sage and goat sausage-- I loved this, DH found the sage a bit overpowering. DH had a gulf shrimp risotto app. Great texture, lovely sweet shrimp. I had the house made cheese agnolotti with bacon for my app. Totally amazing. The cheese was very intensely flavored, maybe a bit on the salty side but not unpleasantly so. My entree, the roasted lamb saddle, was the highlight for me. Such a great preparation for an underutilized cut. DH had the sous vide chicken and loved it but I didn't try it as I was too engrossed in my own dish. I can't say enough good things about this place. I know Rhode Islander's consider anything over a mile away to be a long haul but this is so worth the trip.
