I posted this in home cooking and didn't get a response; since there is a local question as well, trying here.
I have a recipe from the "new food of life" that calls for 6 pounds/10 cups of spinach for 4 cups beef broth along with fresh herbs, beans, lentils, and spices. Other recipes I've found on the web call for far less spinach. Is this possibly a misprint?
also the receipe calls for 1.5 cup liquid whey (Kashk). I found a jar of "Keshk" at an Armenian grocer in Watertown. Ingredients read : dry milk, salt, crushed wheat. Is this the same as Kashk? How do I reconstitute it/make it liquid? Or, is there a local source for liquid Kashk?
