Persian Resources in the Bay Area

Fatemeh | Mar 16, 200504:44 PM     1

This is a just a PSA post...

Since the Persian New Year is nearly upon us, I thought I'd put together a list of places in the Bay Area where one can purchase provisions for the holiday...

This time of year, there are all kinds of delicacies that aren't normally available. Sohan (a sort of brittle), burnt sugar almonds, smoked fish, pastries (sometimes shipped from Iran), samanu (wheat sprout pudding) and senjed (the dried fruit of wild olive trees).

Thanks, and Happy "Nowrooz" to all!
