Perry's ---Burgerlicious

christinet | Jan 3, 200410:36 AM

Had skipped Perry's Union Street for at least a year, since food simply wasn't up to old standards (eating there for 20 years). Ordered Burger with cheese on New Year's Day afternoon. Burger was the BEST I've had in ages anywhere (including Zuni/too dry; In and out, Balboa Cafe, etc)! Poppyseed bun was toasted perfectly, burger good sized, juicy and cooked as ordered, homemade potato chips (request instead of the dinner style fries) were fresh and crispy with no oil. Burgerlicious!! Also, the "standard" green salad with roquefort was dressed in perfect raspberry vinegar and the breadsticks were crisp and fresh. Fried Chicken was another hit. Ahhhhh!! Just like the old days of great Perry's comfort food. Really a treat overall and now back to being a weekly regular!
