"Perfect Spots?" - Seafood shacks with best VIEWS?

Question

Am going to be driving from Yonkers, NY all the way up to Mt. Desert Island, ME this summer and am looking for a couple truly picturesque coastal clam shack-type places, the ones with unbeatable views! 
 
Harborside, beachside, what have you -- am looking for the "perfect spot." The food doesn't have to be amazing (but should be entirely acceptable). Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

The Lobster Shack at Two Lights State Park in Cape Elizabeth, ME...see link below. It's great, but be sure to keep a close eye on your food or the seagulls will steal it right off your table.

Two in Maine come to mind. They are a bit off of the path but worth it, Five Islands Lobster on the Georgetown peninsula by Bath, and Millers lobster pound on the St. George peninsula south of Rockland. Both with the ideal Maine setting and great lobster.

If you get hungry before you reach down east, try Abbott's Lobster in the Rough in Niantic, CT. There are better seafood places in the state (some quite nearby) but Abbott's view is difficult to beat.

While Abbott's is mostly avoided by the locals as a tourist trap, it does offer a beautiful view. You can sit at a picnic table at the waters edge in CT and on a clear day see NY (Fishers Island), RI (Watch Hill) and MA (Block Island).The food is a bit pricey, but good. They have a BYOB policy so bring along a few cold beers or a bottle of wine for a nice picnic.

I'll add my rec for Abbott's in Noank, CT. Decent food, great setting.
 
One spot in Maine I haven't seen anyone mention is Cook's Lobster House on Bailey Island. It's not exactly a "seafood shack", and it's not cheap, but the view is very good (it's even better if you drive a little further up the road to Lands End) and the food is good (at least it was the last time I went about three years ago). Also, the drive out to Cook's (basically start in Brunswick) it's nice and scenic.

Can't imagine no one mentioning Waterman's Beach Lobster Shack on Watereman's Beach Road off Rte either 72 or 73 going out of Rockland toward Owls Head. They won a James Beard Award a few years ago and they just keep getting better.

I second the votes for Abbott's and Cook's. I find it a bit odd that people downplay the food (especially at Abbott's). Steaming a lobster is not rocket science, nor is it susceptible to culinary greatness. A basic steamed lobster is what it is. Of the dozens of places that I have had them, I cannot recall one being demonstrably better (or worse) than the next. Yes, it does not stand up to Thomas Keller's Butter Poached Lobster, but it is difficult for me to claim that one shack's steamed lobsters are much better than the next.
