So glad I had an opportunity to try Perdix in Jamaica Plain while in Boston. This place exceeded all my expectations. For an appetiser I had Pommes Anna.....thinly sliced layered potatoes w/ham & cheese (gruyere?). Crispy, tastey & unusual as a starter. My fried had the field greens tossed in a lemon vinaigrette....fresh, light & tangy. I had steamed mussels for my entree (these are an app but my friend cannot eat shellfish & I just had to have them). These were perfectly steamed w/white wine, butter & herbs.....I ate every bit & gobbled up the sauce as well. My friend had the club steak which was also nice......I remember it came w/some carmelized onions but other than that I don't recall the preparation. Everyone should try this restaurant but be sure to make reservations as there are only 7 tables (while we were there I saw serveral people try to "walk in" who were turned away). The service was also impeccable. Our server anticipated our every need, was very friendly & seemed to enjoy her work.
