Perbacco...will never go back

jimmyjazz | Dec 5, 2009 07:16 AM

Went to Perbacco last night and was astounded by the rude service. We arrived early for our 7:45 reservation. When we requested one of the standard tables (most of which were empty at the time), we were directed to the elevated, bar-like table with backless stools and told that this was the table 'reserved' for us. Fine.
After 3 appetizers (for our party of 3), one of our entrees was wrong and one of our party had to wait 10-15 minutes for her correct entree to arrive while the rest of us sat and ate/stared at our food. Barely an apology was offered.
The final straw. While finishing our desserts, which were half eaten at the time, and our 2nd carafe of wine, the waiter approached us and said 'you've been here a long time' and that it was time for us to leave as the table was needed. Mind you, it was 9:20 (about 1.5 hrs after our reservation time), we had yet to finish our food or wine, and they had screwed up our entrees.
I would comment on the food which was fine, but frankly irrelevant.
There are countless cute, dark places downtown in which you can get a nice cheese plate and homemade pasta. That Perbacco treats its customers like this is pretty much a joke.
Will not be back.
