Asked at hotel for best local deep dish and was offered Lou Malnati's, Giordano's, and Pequods, with much debate and discussion among staff.

Since we'd been to malnati's before we chose Pequods, and it is quite a gem tucked into a residential area.

The pizza is deep, and filled with generous portions of toppings. we chose pepperoni, sausage, italian fried peppers (spicy), and basil. the sauce was really great.
special feature is crust and sausages have just the right amount of char on them, for great flavor.

appetizers of fried shrooms, and zucchini were delish as was pequod's salad. imho better than malnatis.
