Picked up lunch in Chinatown. Roti canai, seafood soup and beef rendang. The roti is like Indian naan, a little ighter and was excellent, with a chicken based dipping sauce. The soup had some nice seafood but the broth was very bland. Beef Rendang is a dish I've enjoyed in the past. Slow cooked brisket in a spicy sauce.. good texture but the spice just wasn't there. Fortunately, I have enough hot sauces on hand that I was able to salvage the meal.
Good spring rolls from across the street at the little bahn mi shop.
Penang wasn't bad..just not very exciting..too many other good options in the neighborhood.
