Pelham Pizzeria & Ristorante on Fifth Ave. in Pelham is one of the best traditional pizzerias in Westchester, in my opinion, rivaling Sal's in Mamaroneck, Coals in Bronxville and Port Chester, and certainly John's in Mt. Vernon. They make a delicious Neapolitan pizza pie! The second generation of the founding Ruffolo family is now marking 40 years in this bustling 'neighborhood' shop. We stop here regularly for their amazing lump sausage pie, spinach pie, and white pizza, all available by the slice or as a whole pie. The kitchen puts out very good Italian-American specialties, too. We often order their Grilled Chicken with broccoli rabe, potatoes and sausage; and red-sauce favorites like good old Chicken Parm, and House-made Lasagna. Portions are generous.
