I took my Cousins & her mom to a Chinese dinner and order Peking Duck eaten 2 ways. When the first course arrived, she noted it was strange we were being serve Tortillas/crepes.
In the restaurants she's been in Bejing and LA, they serve thinner steamed buns (Man Tou) with the crispy duck skin.
I've never seen buns served in Vancouver with Peking Duck. I've seen it with Tea Smoked Duck.
Wonder if any other chowhounds have encountered Peking Duck served with buns here in Vancouver or abroad.
Also curious which version is more traditional.
Everything else was the same in terms of Hoisin sauce, cucumbers and green onions.
Really Wish fmed didn't quit this board.
