We have previously had very good lunches at the Shipwreck Cafe in Naufrage which is about a one hour drive northeast of Charlottetown. Our lunch this summer, seafood chowder and deep fried scollops was still good, but not quite as good as in the past. The following week we drove further northeast another 15 miles to the Red Stone Restaurant in North Bay with a relaxing view of the new East PEI Wind Farm . Lunch was Fish & Chips, beer steamed mussels and seafood chowder was excellent and at a moderate price. We have yet this summer to again try Brehaut's in Murray River (southeast PEI about 45 minutes east of Charlottetown) which is our 'all-time-favourite' seafood chowder in PEI.
