Peet's in Tokyo

Made a first trip yesterday afternoon to the first Tokyo branch of Peet's, the coffee store. It's on Aoyama-dori (Route 246), just a little ways west (ie, towards Omotesando) of the Peacock supermarket. Got my 200g of Garuda Blend, which came with a free cup of coffee.

Not too much to say about it, except that:
1) I'm glad to have a viable alternative to Starbucks;
2) they have a ridiculously large number of employees given the space; and
3) they have really weird hours--they're only open from 1-7pm. I hope this is just a temporary thing while they work the kinks out, or I don't see how they'll be able to pay the rent.

Apparently, the Tokyo operation is a JV with Heichinrou, the Chinese restaurant chain.
