peculiar pricing at Niman FPFM

As a longtime fan (esp. of the 3 bone country rib roast) I've been a little mystified by their choice to adopt a per package pricing system. Sometimes the ribs are are large sometimes they're small but all the time they're $8. Yesterday's "special"was buy one get one free corned beef. Not really the season (i.e. 82 degrees) but I thought I'd make some Practically Pastrami. Guy takes out two packs and says "That's thirty five bucks." I was a bit taken aback but as Zero says "It's not polite to go into a store and not buy anything" so I bit. Imagine my disappoinment when I got home and found my 2 packs weighed a mere 5.5 lbs.total (incl. "25 % water weight") Had it not been on sale I would have been enraged. As it was I was merely horrified. Still love those ribs though.
