Which pecan pie is better CI or Dorie Greenspan. Always made Michael Recchiuti's. The recipe disappeared.
Thank you
Hi, Taluga:
The very best one IMO is the vintage one CI did a few years back with no corn syrup. They're called gem pies, and they're not so sickly sweet. I think it's this one, but I can't/won't get behind the paywall: https://www.cookscountry.com/recipes/...
Also, use the vodka crust prep. A scoop of Rum Raisin ice cream on top, and it's pretty much an inside the park home run.
Aloha,
Kaleo
To me the very best is King Arthur Flours recipe for Yankee pecan pie, no corn syrup instead it uses maple syrup. It's on their website in the recipes section.
still hoping someone will find Michael Ricchiuti Pecan pie, Havn't found one to match it.
