Peasant Bistro downtown

Peasant Bistro opened this past Tuesday and I predict it is going to be one of Atlanta's top restaurants. It's owned by the Pleasant Peasant folks (an Atlanta classic located near the Fox on Peachtree St.) and is located downtown on Centennial Park in the Luckie Marietta District. It has a hip yet very warm and inviting ambiance, and the food is top notch. Check out the menus and the site at peasantatl.com. It's open 7 days, lunch and dinner. The owner said valet parking will start this week, so no parking woes. Our table had duck confit, bouillabaisse, lamb tagine, short ribs, incredible mussels, the best Caesar salad ever (the romaine is lightly grilled), ginger panna cotta and this cute "shake and cookies" dessert. It really is true bistro food. If you haven't been downtown in a while, check it out; lots is happening there.
