Pearl Oyster - Worcester (review)

Finally got to Pearl Oyster last night. This was overall an outstanding experience, and puts this restaurant well at the top of my list among Worcester seafood options.

The room is quiet and comfortable. Our waiter graciously took out coats/hats. Service was quite good overall, except for a forgotten appetizer.....turned out we were too full to need it anyway, but this was the only mistake made by the waiter. Two of us started with the cucumber-wrapped field green salad with goat cheese and balsamic glaze. A stylish vertical presentation of field greens held up by the cucumber wrap and sitting on a nice bed of goat cheese. All very tasty, served with warm, crusty french rolls. For main courses, we had the lobster ravioli (mine), seared ahi tuna and scallops. All were beautifully presented and delicious, with simple but elegant presentations and flavor combinations. The lobster ravioli had a very tender pasta with ample lobster filling, surrounding (slightly overcooked) lobster pieces and a butternut squash sauce.

We had a couple of coffees, a martini and a $45 bottle of wine. The total came to $160 before tip for 3 people. I will definitely be back!
