Thanks for the suggestions last week regarding the Pearl Oyster Bar (Cornelia Street in the Village).
Well, I don't know whether to be thrilled or disgusted. On one hand, the steamed clams and lobster roll were WONDERFUL, the best I have had outside of Rhode Island. But, on the other hand, the prices were INSANE. I know the rents in Manhattan are high, and I didn't expect clam-shack prices... But $20 for a bowl of steamers, c'mon!?!
Anyone know of a cheaper New England seafood place? Is Mary's Fish Camp in the Village any cheaper? Anyone been to Hope & Anchor in Red Hook, Brooklyn? Or should I just wait until my next trip to visit Mom in R.I.??
