Also went to Rico Taco the other day, so I might as well report. It's in Gresham, 181st between Stark and Burnside. Of course, this makes it close enough to de Leon to make it have to be good to be worthy at all. But its menu is different enough and the quality good enough that I think it is.
They have ala carte tacos ($1.50), burritos ($3.50), tostadas ($2.99), quesadillas ($3.75), and tortas ($3.50). They also serve combination plates with items like enchiladas and chile rellenos that range from $5.50 to $7. Additionally, they have a mariscos section with dishes for $8 each (mostly shrimp, but also 7 mares, eg). They have a large breakfast menu, too, offer menudos and birria de chivo ($5.99 each), and even have burgers and nachos.
Meat options include carne asada, adovada, pollo, carnitas, desebrada, cabeza, tripas, lengua, sesos, and pescado. They add the option of chile verde for burritos. They also have a salsa bar.
I had tacos with carnitas, carne asada, and cabeza. All three were quite large for taqueria tacos and pretty good. None were great, I'd say, but all were good. It's a solid option in Gresham and probably the best taqueria (strictly speaking) in the area that I've tried so far (since de Leon really isn't a taqueria and serves mostly guisados).
