[PDX] Rafael's Comida Mexicana

benschon | Dec 14, 200511:35 AM     7

I noticed a new occupant of the doomed space on the corner of NE 37th and Sandy (or is it 38th?) in Hollywood. Just east of the I-84 overpass. Previously this space was an Irish pub, Blackbird, a strip club, and a low-carb restaurant. Not a great track record.

A very quick bike-by shows it to be mid-range Mexican, with $6 to $8 specials, and (gasp!) tablecloths. The only listed dish that I can recall was albondiga, which is little meatball soup, right? Sounds promising. Someone should go and report back.
