Just got back from a Dallas food trip (see my link to the Texas board, check out the in-depth notes, too, if you want to really see what I ate). I have to say, I'm very content with Portland's BBQ. Yam Yam's especially. I'd say Yam Yam's has better ribs than I got in Dallas. Though some Texans contend Dallas isn't a good place for bbq, if Portland only attains the level of Dallas for Q I can live with that. I think Yam Yam's is great, but Campbell's and Tennessee Red's are right there (Campbell's ribs are smokier but less tender than TR's). If anyone knows a better bbq place, especially for pulled pork or ribs, please pass it along.
