PDX pastry & innovative dining recs, please!

I'm a pastry chef who will be visiting PDX next weekend to check out the scene, and welcome your recommendations for the best pastry shops/cafes. I'm looking for places like Macrina, Besalu, or le Fournil in Seattle, or like Tartine in SF - i.e., artisan, not old school, and although good chocolate would be nice to find, I'm not necessarily looking for the super high-end $2 a truffle type chocolate shops.

Also, looking for an interesting dinner. Are there any el Bulli wanna-be's going out on a limb, or are the best restaurants all 'organic chez panisse BS' like my sous chef says?
