Finished out my tour of German delis by finally getting in to Otto's. Tried their pepperoni, landjeager (sp?), house made salami, frankfurters, corned beef, and canadian bacon. I think they use the right amount of fat, but they go a little light on the seasoning for me. But they're still good. I really liked the flavor of the corned beef. There was an emphasis on one of the pickling spices that I can't think of right now, but I recognized the flavor. I think I like their stuff better than Edelweiss for eating cold. I think I'd like Edelweiss better when cooked, though. Edelweiss just has too much fat in most of theirs but seasons them better, I think. I need to get back over the German Sausage place on way east Sandy so I can have a comparison fresh in my mind with the other two.

Any other German delis worth trying besides these three? Are there any good Italian delis besides the semi-Italian pastaworks meats?
