(pdx) Karam vs. Ya Hala

bill | Apr 17, 200512:26 PM     5

Did I hit an off night or has Karam dropped in quality recently? Their best thing imo was the falafel and even that was not as good as usual. The baba and hummus were both lacking in flavor and the eggplant stew literally had chunks of RAW potatoes in it! I should have realized this when I saw it in the Entertainment Book.

Ya Hala on the other hand is as good as ever. I just wish it was easier for me to get to. Does anyone remember when it used to be called Falafel King? Those falafel were the best! If anyone is craving Lebanese, I suggest taking the drive to Ya Hala over anywhere else in town. Hopefully the new one coming soon will be good.
