[PDX] Good, but cost-conscious restaurant downtown

Ms F | Apr 11, 200607:10 PM     9

Hi ~ coming down from Seattle for the weekend. We're meeting friends downtown (near Hilton @ 921 SW Sixth Avenue), and would love to have a tasty meal in a fun, upbeat atmosphere -- but not terribly expensive (entrees less than $12 or so?). We're on a tight budget. My hubby is not particularly fond of Asian, but seafood, Italian and good old American are always good. He's also not too fond of beautifully presented "small plates", and prefers a hearty meal. Any suggestions? I don't know the restaurants there at all, but I will be scrolling this board for ideas. Thanks very much!
