PDX Dining & Drinking Input & Question

winefuhrer | Sep 29, 201111:54 AM

Greetings all...a lot of great information here.

We are doing a PDX/wine trip in late Oct/early Nov. I have made reservations for the following:

PDX Dinners: St. Jack/Little Bird
PDX Brunch: Beast

Willamette Dinners: Farm to Fork/maybe Thistle
Lunch: JORY

We plan to do Pok Pok based on what I have read. I really want to avoid over-hyped places...our focus is great food/drink and experience.

Any input is appreciated. There is not a budget, per se, since most of wine country will be wine and cheese rather than dining out. If I am erring with my choices, please steer me elsewhere.

We only have two days in PDX and 4-5 in wine areas split b/n Willamette and Eugene (King Estate).

One big question is Sunday and booze. I live in NC and we cannot sell alcohol pre-noon...what is the law in Oregon? We have an early res at Beast on Sunday but cannot fathom brunch sans wine (this may be a fact that deserves closer attention on another board but, for now, let's just focus on this issue).

Thank you so much.
