PBS series 'Mexico: One Plate at a Time' - Rick Bayless (opinions?)

I have watched and thoroughly enjoyed the first season of this kids knew when silence was necessary and surprisingly obliged...

I know that Bayless is not the paramour of traditional chefs for Mexican cuisine, but I really see that he has a love for the traditional ingredients and preps, and tries to nod whenever possible to the people he learned (sitting here now, I guess some may even say 'stole') from.

But I just wondered if anyone (w/ the TVFood Network thread below in mind) have viewed this series and have any strong opinions.

Also, the second season is supposedly prepared to start..does anyone know where the series is going from here?
