For William H., and others seeking cheap sushi in Silver Lake, I'd say Pazazz is a winner, albeit in a very modest way. The tiny storefront a few doors down from Chameau on Hyperion is all bar, no real tables. It used to be a coffee house and still has the espresso machine and tea collection. No liquor license. All orders of sushi and rolls are $2.75 or $2.95. However, the sushi portions are fairly small, and the rolls are only four pieces, so it's not as good as it sounds. But the chef was very friendly, and he offered my son extra shrimp when the chowpup rejected the perfectly cooked eel ("too saucy"). There was nothing that unusual but if you know people who aren't big on raw fish, they also have chicken teriyaki, eggplant and tofu sushi. The only other dishes are edamame and miso soup. The tuna was quite fresh and tender. They also do delivery and party trays. Certainly an improvement over Zen and the place by Say Cheese.
