What is a patty pan tin?

gmm | Jan 11, 201105:50 AM     3

I want to make Kylie Kwong's recipe for jelly cakes, but I'm not quite sure what a patty pan is. Her recipe calls for 3 x 12 hole patty pan tins (1 1/2 tablespoon capacity). The cakes in the photo are rounded, rather than having the sharp edges you get from the bottom of a muffin tin. Would a muffin or mini-muffin pan work?
