Patrick's revisited (Durham)

Sant | Apr 7, 2005 02:17 PM

I had reported on Patrick's once before, soon after it opened, and gave it a mixed review. Well, I went back recently and they have really gotten their act together.

I had the "city" fried steak with mashed potatoes, caramelized onions, and a demi glace wine sauce. The steak was a perfect golden brown, the mashed potatoes were buttery, and the sauce was delicious. My friends had fried oyster and spinach salad, fried green tomato sandwich with crisy fried sweet potatoes, and blue cheese burger. They were all very happy with their meals.

Other than the waitress continually intruding on our conversations with anecdotes, it was a very nice meal. I have no reservations recommending y'all try this place now.
