Finally tried pastizzi - from Malta's Finest Pastries on Dundas West. 90 cents buys a hot, crispy, flaky pastry filled with either white cheese or "corned beef" and peas. Reminded me of sfogliatelle (Italian flaky pastry). Can't wait to try other places to compare.
My Maltese colleague recommends Joe's Pastizzi Plus on Dundas West because he finds it less greasy.
Any opinions on the best pastizzi or other Maltese food in town?
