Pasta Nostra is Laurel

I had a pretty good dinner at Pasta Nostra (Our Pasta) Friday night. I had the bruschetta app, served on toasted rolls with a good amount of garlick in the tomato. Shrimp Scampi had 6 good sized shrimp cooked just right and the spaghetti was al dente (very good though not house made) and came with garlic bread. Dessert was 3 delicious profiterol and the manager Geno said all the desserts come from Italy.

You order at the counter and they give you a number for your table and then bring the food to you. They are applying for a liquor license and for now you may bring in beer and wine with no corkage (or kegage?) fee.

Pasta Nostra is on Van Dusen, across from the hospital in the little strip mall and has been opened for about three months or so. Everything I saw looked good, my meal was very good, and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Appetizer, entree, soda and dessert was $26.00 and was comparable to Pasta Plus.

I recommend Pasta Nostra.
