party of 20 (half veget.s) in alhambra on a sat nite

my typical problem with birthday meals for myself is finding a place that does a decent job cooking vegetarian and non-vegetarian stuff equally. Fu-shing was good, Red Corner Asia was good.
everyone I know lives downtown, lincoln heights-ish area, so i figured alhambra and the San gab valley would be the way to go this year. definitely not going any further west (no reason considering the prime culinary geography to the east)

vietnamese would be great, but all the places i go to regularly and enjoy have very small veget. options. the only thai i've eaten at over there is thai purple, which was decent i thought, but at least two or three of my first choice dishes were gone (and it wasn't much past 8:30 when we went)

so please offer suggestions - thanks!
