Sunday Brunch- Atchafalaya
Wonderful bananas french toast with a rum sauce and bacon.  Oh, so good.  I have had it before and love it.  My DH had boudin and duck hash. He said they were both very good.

Sunday evening Trinity Restaurant
We were brave again and tried another new restaurant. Well,  it was not up to par with service or food.  We will say the crawfish beignets were good.  Otherwise,  my DH pork shank was about 7 out of 10. It needed something to bring out another flavor.  My snapper was not seasoned and desparately needed salt.  At least there was citrus and avocado on the dish or it wouldn't have been ate. My fish was 4.5 out of 10.

Monday lunch. Commander's Palace
Once again,  it was fabulous. The experience was great but the food was excellent. We were in the garden room and enjoying everything and Brad Brennan introduced himself.  I started with a cosmopolitan and DH had a refreshing cocktail. Then,  of course, the garlic bread. My DH had the wonderful turtle soup and a romaine salad which he loved.  I had an assortment of heirloom tomatoes salad with cheese, radishes, basil pesto, and a brittle. It was delicious and the tomatoes were perfectly ripe. I had an entree of andouille chicken and DH had Bbq shrimp which were both very good.  For dessert. I had a cantelope cucumber sorbet which was good but DH had Banana chocolate chip cookie dough cobbler with butterfinger ice cream which was awesome. We would both go back this week just to eat the other items on the menu. The menu was so appealing.

Monday night Baru Bistro
We both knew to take it easy after Commander's palace. So,  we had tapas which were excellent. We started with sangria. We decided on four tapas. We had grilled corn and cheese which was good.  Then,  had shrimp tapas which was similar to a Spanish bbq shrimp.  My DH loved the sauce.  Then,  we had a cornmeal cake with pulled pork and black beans which was delicious. Lastly,  we had a tapas of grilled skirt steak and chumchurri with a corn cake. The steak was very tender and all tapas hit the spot.
