Part 1 of our trip

Thursday night. .. Irenes for some wonderful Italian. We love this place.  Chicken rosemarino....oh the sauce and garlic and osso buscco...tender,  excellent sauce. Parmesan risotto was very creamy.

Friday lunch.. Big Killer Poboys. I had the grilled shrimp poboy and it was light but still very tasty. My DH had the pork belly poboy. He said it was good but mine was better.

Friday dinner. .. We went to Elizabeth's. It was meh, bland and I expected better.

Saturday lunch. .. High hat cafe.  It was really good food.  We started with delta tamales which were delicious. Then,  I had a reuben with fries. Great flavors that was seasoned well.  My DH had the sausage breakfast casserole and salad which were seasoned correctly, done perfectly.  To finish it off,  DH had an abita rootbeer float and I had a large wonderful  piece of peach cobbler with creole cream cheese  ice cream. We went overboard, but it was worth it.

Then, we went to Angelo Brocato's for snacks during the week and some delicious lemon ice.

Saturday dinner. .Clancy's
This was our first time but definitely not our last.  My husband had a delicious cold sweet corn soup and I had a salad that was good.  For our entrees, my dh had veal Webster which he ate every last bite and I had pork tenderloin with greens and sweet puree which was definitely one of our best meals in Nola ever.  We have been coming yearly for around 15 years.  We definitely will be back.

More later
