parmesean broth

I am making risotto this weekend and would like to make it with parmesean broth made from some rinds i have been saving in my freezer. i have never made parm. broth and was unable to find any suggestions/guidelines with a web search, and i have a feeling that my 'just boil 'em up' instinct may not produce the best possible result :)

any tips?
