We decided to celebrate New Hampshire Maple Weekend with a trip around Hillsborough County to visit sugarhouses (and pick up a year's work of maple syrup). We finished up with a late lunch at Parker's Maple Barn, which I'd seen recommended here.
There was no wait for a table at around 2pm, but that was balanced out by an incredibly long wait for mostly mediocre food. It probably took over half an hour, and the restaurant was fairly empty. I imagine the lunch shift was over so the problem was understaffing.
I ordered maple walnut pancakes, which were a very odd pancake. They showed up not terribly hot, and the texture was dried out. Enough maple syrup poured on started to make them edible but they quickly fell apart into pancake mush. Pretty awful. The link sausages were nothing special.
Baked beans were the star of the meal- VERY GOOD, also french fries were pretty good. Brown bread tasted a little burnt and I didn't try the ham but didn't hear any complaints.
I wasn't particularly impressed but given the good things I've heard here, I'd try them again... not the pancakes though!
