Parkers Farm Peanut Butter Disappearing From MSP Store Shelves

I know this is not a huge deal in the grand scheme of things. Still, I find it bothersome that Old Home seems to be crowding out Parkers Farm refrigerated peanut butter.

A few weeks ago I thanked the SLP store manager at Cub for keeping Parkers Farm available in the large container. She asked me if I’d tried the Old Home brand, and I confessed I hadn’t.

Well, now I have tasted Old Home peanut butter. I thought I’d better try it so as not to complain about a possibly superior product shoving Parkers Farm to the wayside. It is not superior. Old home has little peanut flavor. I think I will use it as a tahini substitute for hummus, which you can’t do with a really peanut-y flavored peanut butter, lest your hummus taste of peanuts, when it shouldn’t.

The large container has disappeared from Lunds and Byerly’s. In its place are large(r) containers of Old Home peanut butter. Boo, I say.

If, like me you are a fan of Parkers Farm, please remind store managers that you would like to keep seeing the product on their store’s shelves.

I am in no way affiliated with Parkers Farm. Just a fan of their creamy peanut butter. I’m not alone – see this blog post about Parkers Farm PB:
