Park South Open

Bride of the Juggler | Apr 14, 2002 10:12 AM

Park South, the diner run by the same people as Rindelaub's bakery, is finally open on 19th just below Rittenhouse Square. It is open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday nights (although with a smaller late night menu after midnight). We stopped in and had chocolate milkshakes, the great bread pudding the old Rindeluab's diner used to serve in a basket at breakfast($2), and a grilled cinnamon bun with loads of raisins and walnuts ($2.50). The menu looks like basic diner, including the corn muffin delight which I miss so much from Diner on the Square. I can't wait to go for breakfast and see if they still have those amazing quiches they had at the old Rindelaub's diner.

The verdict: Diner on the Square with Rindelaub's pastry.
