Went to New Park yesterday. Pizza was better than ever. They have perfected their crust and acheived a perfect char on the bottom. Sauce is still sweet and tangy, perfectly matching with the cheese. It's always a pleasure eating there.
Went to DiFara's last week. Had the regular slice, which I still find to have an extremely subpar crust, matcbed with a bland sauce. Cheese, as twice before, was "interesting."
Had the square slice. Still unimpressed by the crust. However, the sauce and cheese made the slice. Great taste and great combination of flavors.
Unfortunately, I've now read that pork is used in the unorthodox heating of the sauce. Not being a pork eater, I will not be eating the square anymore, thus not returning. Although obviously Dom would have no obligation to post the ingredients in his sauces, being as a heated pizza sauce with pork is quite quite rare, that might be polite information to post, as many who will not eat pork may unknowingly eat the squares.
