Paris update

Excellent lunches at Thoumieux (very good herring, cassoulet and Bergerac wines) and Train Bleu (outstanding saucisson lyonnais and above average quenelles).
Disappointing dinner at Chez Rene, which used to be one of the great bistros--only the cochonailles were very good.
Next week: Taillevent and Chez Benoit--among others.
Any advise from you worldly folks?
