Paris for the first time with kids (9 & 4 year old)

nealsense | May 22, 201802:12 PM

We are visiting Paris for the first time in July for 7 days and would like some help. We are staying near Arc de Triomphe in a hotel. Our plan is to discover various neighborhoods in Paris including area near the hotel, Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Le Marais, Saint-Germain and Montmartre. I don't think we can do French food for 7 days so we would like to mix it up. We are from California and love Italian, Mediterranean, Thai cuisine. We prefer places that might have menu for kids or be a bit more accomodating. Also, my older son has a bit of a funky egg allergy (he can have egg pasta, ice cream, etc. for example but can't have crepes, pastries, etc.)

Here are some places that I had researched and would love your feedback/suggestions:

1/ Morning exploration in Le Marais - try a lunch spot at Marché des Enfants Rouges, coffee at Broken Biscuits, Le Peloton Cafe or Ob-la-di, bakery Jacques Genin and ice cream at Une Glace à Paris.
2/ Coffee near Notre Dame - Shakespeare and Company Café, ice cream at Berthillon
3/ Dinner at Le Loubnane as we will spend the evening at Jardin des Plantes
4/ Explore Saint-Germain - lunch at Cosi or some place at Bon Marche? Coffee at Coutoume and pastries at Pierre Herme
5/ Afternoon/evening at Luxembourg Gardes and dinner at either Au Petit Suisse or La Cuisine de Philippe?
6/ Explore Montmartre - lunch at Jeanne B or Brasserie Thai, coffee: Café Cuillier, checkout Boulangerie Raphaëlle
7/ After that our plan is to go to Rue Saint Honore' to check out the shopping scene. Coffee at Matamata Coffee Bar. What would be a good dinner spot in this area?
8/ Eiffel Tower area - lunch at O'Scia or Filakia? Dinner near Louvre at Balagan?
9/ Need a dinner spot near Place du Tracedero.
10/ Need to find another dinner place ideally near our hotel near Arc de Triomphe

The other places I read up on for lunch are Arnaud Nicolas, la fontaine de mars, Pirouette, Benoit Paris, L'As du Fallafel. Also, heard good things about the pizza at Atelier Fratelli. Would love to hear your thoughts and open to completely changing the spots if you have better suggestions. Thanks!
