Paris restaurants: Beaubourg neighborhood

Hi All International Hounds:

I'm calling on the Parisophiles and other knowledgeable hounds to let me know their best picks for the Beaubourg area of the 3rd arrondisement in Paris. Petite dejeuner, lunch, or dinner recs all would be welcome, as would any snack or treat stations, or fruit vendors, pattiseries, etc. I'll be there for a week, and would enjoy trying every type of dining experience from the zinc-type cafes all the way to too-snooty-for-Americans Michelin-type places :) We'll be going all over the city, of course, but we're staying at the hotel near the Pompidou, and will be spending a lot of time in that area.

Any other Paris must-haves are welcome too -- I should have plenty of leisure time to go across town for a great meal. We've got the "Great Eats Paris" book and will be referring to it, but I always give special weight to recommendations/confimations/warnings from my fellow hounds!
