Just went there yesterday to buy some croissants and pains au chocolat. Ended up getting more.
First, they've expanded and now have a nice area where you can enjoy a coffee and a pastry or baked good.
Second, I just tried their kirsch petit-four. It was pretty good. Caveat: I'm not a big dessert guy. But in general, I've liked their stuff.
As a note, just so you'll know my tastes, I really like B&L bakery on Third near the beverly center, used to adore the Michel Richard on Robertson (haven't been for a while), and really don't much care for Sweet Lady Jane's.
