Paris mini report

Cherish | Jul 19, 2004 11:47 PM

I spent a glorious week in Paris and had the most amazing meals. Here's a short report:

Clos les gourmets- FANTASTIC- the best meal of all. Nice place, service was a little slow but they were attentive to our needs- the food was amazing- everyone cleaned their plates :) I had vela which was the most tender I've ever had.

Au bon Accueil- Looks like an upscale restaurant but the food was very reasonable for what you get. I had langoustines with sauce so good you'll want to lick it off. The dessert was heavenly (molten choc cake)

La Fontaine de Mars- Lovely homey place- hearty comfort food- excellent floating island- foie gras in huge portions- too much of a good thing but delicious nevertheless

Le Grand Colbert- disappointing food when compared to the others- beautiful dining room, good service, the oysters were excellent and my mom loved her onion soup. The rosted chicken was just ok.

Bofinger- oysters again-excellent. And the most delicious lobster i have ever tasted. Juicy, succulent- perfect.
