We are planning a trip to Paris in the off season and we are taking our then will be almost 5 year old son who is looking forward to the Eiffel Tower, trains, carousels, chocolate for breakfast and looking for Madeline.
My experience in Paris is mostly as a solo traveler although my husband and I had our honeymoon there. Our son is a good traveler and a good restaurant diner. He knows that eatting in restaurants is a priviledge. He uses his fork and knife [or chopsticks if appropriate], he does not yell or run around and he eats anything. That said, he's still a small boy and really pricy meals would be a waste [no matter how much his parents would enjoy them].
I am looking for some suggestions for meals out when we don't feel like a picnic or crepes in the park. I do not need the pricy restaurants but places that French families go that aren't chains or fast food--we have never taken our son to a McDonalds or the like and we don't plan to start now. We will be staying on the Left Bank near the Pantheon. We anticipate spending lots of time at the Science museum.
