Two parents and a 10-year-old son

This is my first Chow post. Heading to NOLA for Jazz Fest. Will be at the fairgrounds Sunday, with Friday and Saturday wide open. Thursday eve reservation at Sylvain (down the street from our hotel)so convenient. Friday starts with 2-hour foot tour of St. Louis. Then heading to Killer Po Boy for lunch. Need evening dinner suggestions for Friday and Saturday. Been to Commanders's Place 10 years ago. No desire to return. Want good food, kid friendly, on foot places. Saturday we'll head to Garden District and thought perhaps lunch at Cassamentos.

Will not have a car so walking or cab. Any great (not good but great) pizza places? We're Detroiters and have Suppino's, which is as close to thin crust pizza in Italy as I've ever had. Also saw a NYT post about Bootys Street Food? Sounded interesting... Open to any and all suggestions! Or should we go the route of Pesce or Cochon?
