I've made an oak box in which I would like to put my homemade vinegar. I used a woodglue which is rated OK for indirect food contact, but I still have two issues. First, I worry about prolonged contact between the vinegar and the wood glue and secondly, I've got some leaks that are big enough so that I won't really have to worry about the first issue. To solve the problem I was thinking about sealing the corners by melting parafin wax into them. Does anyone know of any contamination or taste problems that could result from doing this?
