I've said it before but I must say it again. For great food at a reasonable price, this is my favorite place! Luckily I live right up the street from Papa's.

We have young kids so this place is right up our alley. Great atmosphere for a family; nice waitresses, kid-friendly food and a very diverse menu.

Tonight I had the fried Fisherman's Platter at $14.95. It was heaping with scallops, shrimp, fried clams and some haddock. I will tell you that I haven't had fried fish nearly this good at Legal's, McCormick & Schmicks' or Kingfish Hall. The fish was incredibly fresh. My husband had a veal parm sub, he said it was great. Their homemade soups are out of this world, and I'm picky.

In the past we've had their steak tips, pasta dishes, broiled fish dishes, etc. and have never been disappointed. It's hard to find decent food in a kid-friendly atmosphere but that's never an issue at Papa's.

So I'm putting in another plug for Papa's. I love patronizing a neighborhood Mom & Pop place. And no, I don't own it or work there. LOL
